The Japanese designer Kazushige Miyake found inspiration for this carpet series in the dry landscape gardens of Kyoto, the so-called “Karesansui”. There, patterns are raked into the gravel that are reminiscent of the swirling currents of a river and are intended to symbolize the natural beauty and serenity of nature. However, this carpet does not simply imitate the "Karesansui" style, rather the designer has tried to translate the essence of the gardens into a design that fits well into modern interiors. The combination of straight lines and circles expresses the randomness of nature and creates a relaxing atmosphere that gives calm rooms harmony and a unique accent.
The rug is made of viscose and its soft surface makes it ideal for furnishing your living area or bedroom. Viscose combines the positive properties of cotton and silk and is not only soft and skin-friendly, but also durable. The material is also Ökotex certified, which guarantees a sustainable production chain and responsible use of resources. To enjoy your carpet for a long time, we recommend vacuuming or beating it regularly. Due to the fineness of the fibres, you should avoid using harsh cleaning agents and instead remove coarse dirt with a damp cloth in the direction of the fibres. Available in multiple colours and sizes.
