Floor Vase | H 63 cm, Ø 31,5 cm

The CEOLA floor vase designed by Frederike Martens for Blomus shows typical traces of handmade stoneware. The grooves, inclusions and unevenness of both the surface and the colour are not to be seen as defects, but as part of this refined manufacturing process. The semi-matte reactive glaze has very traditional Japanese roots and develops differently on each item. During firing, it reacts to the slightest changes in oxygen in the kiln atmosphere. This is how the vivid surface is created.
